Although it is too early to guage the damage, it is obvious that Cancun will suffer greatly with the drastic reduction in tourism, related to swine flu.
Some countries such as Cuba and Argentina have stopped flights to Mexico. Some other countries such as Canada and US have posted travel advisories suggesting no non-essential flights.

According to the Spanish-language website noticaribe.com, the governor of the State of Quintana Roo (in which Cancun is located) said that there have been 22 suspect cases of suspected flu in the state, 15 having been discarded, and 7 are being analyzed.

This is a breaking story. A kid in Sacramento coming back from Cancun has experienced flu-like symptoms, and swabs are being sent to CDC for further testing. Seven of his classmates also came down with flu-like symptoms.

We are still not sure about this. There are NO confirmed reports of swine flu in Cancun. There are however two cases reported about young people who came back from Cancun (& Yucatan).
