Swine Flu Sacramento - What’s going on now ?
This is an update to our earlier swine flu Sacramento story. County officials report that two more students have tested postive for swine flu in Sacramento (source). These students are from St. Mel School in the Sacramento Fair Oaks suburb. A 7th grader in that suburb first contacted the flu while traveling to Cancun, and it now appears that it now appears that he has passed the infection to the other students.
A total of three students were tested for swine flu, and two were positive. Fortunately, unlike in Mexico, the symptoms were mild. There are now 13 confirmed cases of swine flu in the State of California.
LAX: LAX is now posting signs with sanitation and public health tips. Restrooms are now being sanitized twice an hour, with special attention paid to door knobs and handles.
Schools: There are still no state-wide school closure orders in the State of California.
