Flu in QR (Cancun area)? - and Cancun Airport Report

According to the Spanish-language website noticaribe.com, the governor of the State of Quintana Roo (in which Cancun is located) said that there have been 22 suspect cases of suspected flu in the state, 15 having been discarded, and 7 are being analyzed.

He asked people with any suspicous symptoms to go to local health authorities for further tests.

He emphasize the need to calm down.

In the meantime, RiverGirl twitts that her husband works at Cancun airport, and is witnessing empty planes landing, and full planes taking off.

An Air Transat flight from Montreal to Cancun landed today with 0 pax and left with 248 aboard. I can hear the echoes in Cancun already.”
